Just few weeks to the beginning of the production for "Friday The 13th", Paramount Pictures cancels the movie production as date has been re-scheduled.
The "THR" reports that multiple sources have indicated to them that the studio has shut down the production altogether with Platinum Dunes and director Breck Eisner advised earlier in the day about the project’s cancellation.
Although, it was in pre-production and, while not cast, aiming for a mid-March start of production. The reason is unclear, but the under-performance of “Rings” reportedly lead to second-guessing over the “Friday the 13th” reboot. As it comes, Paramount Pictures also adjourned its release schedule.
